Lilac's events are free and open to the public.  Because space is limited, reservations are sometimes required for special events.

In 2011, we are offering a series of exhibits documenting our the maritime heritage in photographs and curated by photographer
David Hodgson, .  Visitors can view exhibits and tour the ship during our open hours or during special events.

During the month of July, Lilac is open from 12 noon to 5 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
  Lilac will be closed Wednesday, July 27 to prepare for the North River HIstoric Ship Festival.

The exhibit Waterways with photographs of the changing waterfronts of the greater New York area by Shelley Seccombe is on display from June 30 to July 29.



From July 28 to 31, Lilac will be part of the North River Historic Ship Festival: 


Lilac will be open for ship tours on Friday, July 29  from 4 PM to 8 PM and will host a closing reception for Shelley Seccombe's exhibit beginning at 5:30 PM.  

On Saturday, July 30, from 12 noon to 5 PM, Lilac be open again for ship tours and then host a Coast Guard Day celebration with a concert beginning at 6 PM featuring the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Band Flotilla 22-7 and the duo Evanescent.  Reservations are required for the concert.

On Sunday, July 31, there will be an opening party for Paul Margolis' exhibit of photographs from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.  For a full schedule of events and to reserve tickets, go to North River Historic Ship Society.
